General note
Articles and research notes on the history, events and general development of the Danbury Fair from a purely agricultural event in 1869 to its more modern theme park atmosphere at the close in 1981. Information on harness racing, old time car and motor cycle races, agricultural events, and the "Great Fires" in 1922 and 1944. Some good photo journalism reflecting the cultural evolution and change in the Danbury area from agriculture light industrial manufacturing to current city/bedroom suburbia. These files also contain comparative statistical analysis on Fair attendance, and in depth articles on the 1982 auction and demolition of the Danbury Fair.
