General note
Articles refer to Barnum's life, his gift of the fountain to Bethel, his mansions, and his religious views. There is some coverage of the various Barnum celebrations in Bridgeport and his philanthropy as well as references to new books on Barnum, the restoration of the Bridgeport Museum and the final demise of "Jumbo" the elephant in 1977 by the New York Museum of Natural History.
