Gives suggestions for improving her health and removing her cough; Dr. Daniel Sheldon has advised that she ween the baby and have blood let and blisters applied. If Dr. Tracy concurs he feels she should gradually give the child a bottle. Gives news of the actions of the Connecticut House of Representatives and of friends and family.

He writes via Mr. A. Smith to inform her that he is pleasantly situated with Mr. Moseley's family and his health is good. Gives details of invitations and business.

Wolcott reports Litchfield gossip, notes that the lightening struck the rod of the Meetinghouse and that of Ephraim Kirby and notes "two places very unalike." Asks that his little girl not learn "democratic tricks" and reports that he longs to be with his family. The top third of the letter is missing.

One letter reporting that he expects his father's return within a few days and hopes that Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Goodrich and his sister Laura will join him. Notes that Mrs. Chandler will answer well as the new housekeeper; notes reports in Southern papers.

Writes from Philadelphia that he is happy to hear of his father's health; gives details of Oliver Wolcott's (1760-1833) work habits and schedule; the President is expected to arrive in a few days; no news from the insurgents.

Writes to inform his father of his health; provides gossip about a Professor Meigs who he feels should be disqualified as a "public character"

Notes his pleasure upon hearing that Doctor Dwight has been appointed president of Yale; would like to know who was appointed Professor of Divinity; notes the popularity of Mr. Williston who is drawing great numbers of parishioners but there is discord over whether he should replace Judah Champion.
