Connecticut Light Infantry 17th Regiment Company Books collection (1203) consists of two orderly books. The first book details the regiment's creation by the State of Connecticut; contains decisions made by voting on particulars about the regiment (uniform, what the soldiers would have to provide, etc); a General Roll including the name of each soldier in the regiment and enlistment date; annual rolls from 1793-1798; and contains some accounting records for the regiment. The second book contains yearly rolls from 1798 through 1805, inspection returns from 1793-1796 including names of the members of the regiment and equipment; annual returns from Sept. 25 1793 to September 1804 which include the number of men in the regiment in each year and the number of men per each rank; and a "Return of Officers and Non Commissioned Officers" from Sept. 1804 listing officers of the regiment and the date they were commissioned.

Danner Family Papers, 1832-1991

The personal papers of Helen Danner and her parents Frederick Baxter Danner (1907-1979) and Elizabeth Neill Danner (1907-1991). Frederick Danner grew up in Mount Vernon, N.Y., and graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was then employed by AT&T's Long Lines Division for 42 years. Elizabeth Neill was born in Milwaukee. She attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia. She married Frederick Danner in 1935. They moved to Litchfield in the early 1970s.

The Daughters of the American Revolution, Mary Floyd Tallmadge Chapter (Litchfield, Conn.) records (2011-18-0, .63 linear feet) consist of research reports regarding lists of American Revolutionary War soldiers from Litchfield and surrounding towns; surveys of churches in Litchfield and Morris; grave records; and a 1779 pay abstract relating to the 13th Regiment Connecticut Militia. Many of the records were created by D.A.R. chapters in surrounding areas and presented to the Litchfield chapter. Also includes chapter awards, clippings, proclamation, and programs (2019-2021).

Donahue's Clothing Store Records, 1922-1937

On April 8, 1922, Martin J. Donahue opened a clothing and shoe store called Donahue's in L. R. Denegar's former location in the Beach block on West St. In March, 1936, he became postmaster of Litchfield. He died in 1946.
