The Wood's archival collections focus on the history of South Windsor, CT, its residents and the surrounding region. They contain information on the history of the tobacco industry in the Connecticut River Valley. Among the subjects covered are the different types of tobacco cultivated, their uses, and the agricultural, harvesting, and processing methods that were utitlized. Major tobacco producers from South Windsor, Windsor, East Windsor, and other towns are highlighted.
