Following the World Trade Center bombing (1993-02-26), the Port Authority distributed pastries, coupons that could be used in the WTC’s shopping concourse, and blue coffee mugs. The mugs had the agency's logo depicting the twin towers and an inscription saying “Welcome Back to the World Trade Center”. This "Welcome Back" package was offered to returning tenants and workers as a way to help them feel comfortable inside the buildings after the bombing. This particular mug belongs to Dr. Karen Geraghty, who was a human resource manager for EBASCO Services, and worked on the 93rd floor of the South Tower (WTC2). She received the “Welcome Back” package when she and her colleagues returned to work (1993-03-29). The coffee mug has a broken handle (broke in 1998).
