Release of Attachment

D.E. Loewe, et al

November 22, 1917

After Martin Lawlor had paid Deitrich Loewe in 1917 the Supreme Court made adjustments to the Sherman Anti-trust Act which gave the Hatters a feeling of relief. The Hatters no longer had to fear that Loewe and Merritt would come after them to take away their homes. This Release Attachment Written to the defendants in 1917 by Merritt states that they have paid off their debts and that they no longer can be held liabel for any profits Loewe may have lost during the union strikes.
