Abstract
In this sculpture, Miss. Ludington is wearing a dress with a cape. She is riding on the horse with her hand above her head holding a branch. Her mouth is open as if she is shouting. Sybil Ludington is known for riding her horse, from Danbury to Putnam County, at night, to warn the militia that the Brinish forces were coming. This sculpture is a miniature casting of the original statue in Carmel, New York.
