Lacrosse was a sport that was primarily not taken seriously at WCSU until their most recent season (2018-2019 academic year) where they worked to get the best season record ever in WCSUWLAX history (14-5).  These pictures from the 2001 yearbook are the first documentation of the women's team at WestConn.  When asked about the past and future for the women's lacrosse team, head coach Jennifer Moore Thomas said “This was an exceptional year for WestConn Women’s Lacrosse. It feels as though the past three years have been building up to this point, so I give a lot of the credit to our upperclassmen. They believed. They believed in the culture that we have installed and exemplify what we want every women’s lacrosse player to become by the time they enter their senior year. This program thrived academically and athletically but I feel as though we just set the standard for what WestConn Women’s Lacrosse will be moving forward.”

In these photos, similar to the photos of the men's team, you can see how the equipment and uniforms have changed throughout the years.  You can compare them with the link attached below.
