The Danbury Firebug.
The "fire bug" of Danbury has been seen. The Danbury News says he is a tall, slimly built fellow and wears a long heavy ulster.
He made another attempt to start a fire on Monday night and though watched for half hour in the bright moonlight he escaped.
He walked boldly into the yard of James A. Manion's residence, No. 60 Grand street, right under the eyes of the neighbors, went up to the piazza of the house, poured oil about and then tried to set it a fire. The two matches he lighted went out, and before he had time to light another he took alarm and ran away.
It is a startling story but it is upon a par with many of the other doings of this fiend, who has defied detection for two years now, and he appears to stop at no risk.
