My dear Wife
to day being sabbath day and not having much to do I think I will im rove the time in writing to you. it is only yesterday since I mailed a letter to you but if you like to receive letters as well as I do all the letters that I may write will be received with welcome by you.
My dear this is a bright sunshiny day and all of the Boys are busy in 1xing their new tents. yesterday we had furnished for us new A tents and we had to pull do our old ones and put up our new ones. in the other tents we had 8 in a tent but in these we ha e only 4 so that it makes some change.
Ed Comstock, James Hagan, John Smith and myself tents together now. l have just got through fixing the tent and thought I would write a little to you.
there is not much change taking place here or in the Regt. Adjutant Samuel Gregory started for home yesterday. he lives in Danbury (that is the Bogs) I sent my Respects to all inquiring friends but I donot think he will call on you as he will probably have a good many to see.
we expect another mail today or Monday. I hope there will be a letter for me.
