The Congregational Church at Mount Carmel in Hamden, Connecticut was established in 1764. This volume contains its covenant, articles of faith and a list of clergy to 1855 and membership at that date. 
The present church was built in 1840 and added to the National
Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Mount Carmel is a neighborhood in the northern section of the town of Hamden, Connecticut. This area of town is the location of the unique Sleeping Giant hill formation that is the source of Hamden's nickname, "The Land of the Sleeping Giant."
