A history of the section of Danbury known as Mill Plain. The author details the locations where large numbers of Native American artifacts had been found. As settlers came to the Danbury area various agreements were made with the various tribes for land. The Native Americans sold land to the first settlers and gradually moved on. Some did stay as owners of land, but these individuals were scattered north of Ridgefield. The Ramapos were the main tribe in this area.
