This building was a former schoolhouse that stood on the east side of Long Ridge Road. It was given to the Trustees of the Long Ridge Library Association in 1921 by the town of Danbury until it ceases to be used as a library. Katherine White and Ida V. Barnum donated the land on which the building now stands with the agreement that no intoxicating liquor shall be brought on the premises or games of chance played there and that it be used only for community purposes or the land shall revert to the grantors.
