Fourth Floor/Attic
The attic of Old Main appears to be basically unchanged since 1905 (there are no historic photographs of that part of the building in the Archives). Modern photographs of the attic show original elements such as wooden floors and steel support beams. Evidence of the higher-ceilinged 3rd-floor classrooms can be seen in the raised elements that protrude into the attic. Evidence of the skylight which is visible in historic photographs can also be easily seen; newer wood and seams mark the area where the 3rd-floor classroom's ceiling and the roof section above it had been cut and later sealed when the skylight was removed.
