"Prison Etiquette" is an anthology of the prison writings, published in 1950, of Conscientious Objectors to World War II. "The Danbury Story" by Howard Schoenfeld relates to the F.C,I Danbury, CT. Other notable inmates at the same time included: Robert Lowell, James Peck, and David Dellinger.

After the close of hostilities in World War II, some conscientious objectors remained incarcerated.  In 1946, protesters gathered at the gate of F.C.I. to protest this policy.
