The Prize Baby

How Award will be Made in Baby Week Campaign

It is announced that the prize to be awarded in the local Baby Week campaign to the first baby born in March will go to the infant whose name appears first on the town register at the City Hall.

The need and desirability of infant registration is being emphasised all over the nation and this local step is a furtherance of the battle to impress on everyone the importance of registering all children born in a community.

Mrs. John C. Downs will bestow the award at the Mothers' meeting at St. James' Parish House Saturday afternoon and she will be governed by the legal list. The baby’s name heading the March registry list will win the honor.

Mothers and others will be much interested in the lungmotor to be demonstrated at this meeting. This device has saved the lives of hundreds of babies. The talks by Dr. Annie Keeler and Mrs. Matilda Collins, school nurse, and Miss Mary Brennan's illustration of ``How to Prepare Modified Milk, '' will undoubtedly afford much information of value.
