1869. Halcyon G. Bailey vs. Lyman Keeler
The second case (petition dated 9 July 1869) was against Lyman Keeler, requesting the court order that Lyman Keeler return Sherwood Farm to Halcyon. Halcyon again argued that
``...on or about the 1st day of September 1864 Your petitioner [Halcyon] became sick and disordered and unsound of mind, and was in consequence of said sickness, and derangement, unfit and incapable of executing or making any valid or legal contract....'' etc.
The court again appointed David B. Booth to investigate the facts. He submitted his report in September 1870. The court accepted the report and dismissed the petition, with costs paid by Halcyon to the respondents of the case (Lyman Keeler and Emily K. Bailey).
