1902. A Smallpox Cure
A Smallpox Cure
Dr. Annie K. Bailey, of Danbury, offers a cure for smallpox, which has come to her in a foreign communication on the subject, and which is recommended as a remedy that may be "guaranteed to cut short the worst cases in three days." It is as follows: "One ounce of cream of tarter dissolved in one pint of hot water, drank at intervals when cold, is a never-failing remedy. It has cured thousands; never leaves a mark, never causes blindness (a possible serious after result in severe cases), and avoids tedious lingering."
