The papers contain correspondence, memoranda, manuscripts and other papers on the professional career and personal life of psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Trigant Burrow. The papers document Burrow's group laboratory research, the activities of The Lifwynn Foundation, the research of important colleagues like Hans C. Syz and Charles Baker Thompson, and such subjects as doctor-patient and interpersonal relations.
