Correspondence, diaries, an autobiography, writings, research notes, and teaching materials of Jack Randall Crawford. Also included are a small amount of papers belonging to Dorothy Gabain, Crawford's second wife. The largest part of the papers is made up of plays, fiction and literary criticism, both published and unpublished, written by Crawford. Also included are lecture notes and texts and students papers reflecting his teaching career at Yale University (1909-1946).

The photographs is this collection document performances at the Hartt School.

The records consist of correspondence, memoranda, and subject and administrative files documenting the activities of various deans and administrative personnel of the Yale School of Nursing. Topics include finance, faculty, admissions, committees, policy and curriculum, research and public service, national and international associations, visitors, and affiliated universities and hospitals. Included are the records of deans Annie Warburton Goodrich, Effie Taylor, Elizabeth Torrey, Margaret G. Arnstein, and Donna Diers.

The records consist of project files, drawings, images, and a small number of models of projects undertaken by Robert A. M. Stern Architects, LLP, as well as professional and personal correspondence, writings, lecture transcripts and notes, and television programming created by founding partner Robert A. M. Stern.

This collection documents the activities of the Society for the Publication of American Music from its inception in 1919 to its dissolution in May, 1969. The bulk of materials dates from the last 10 years of the Society's existence and consists of: correspondence; subscription records; royalty, bank, and other financial records; officers' notes; and a small number of programs and reviews.

The Charles Ives Papers include music, literary writings, correspondence, diaries, scrapbooks, photographs, writings about Ives, Ives's collection of music by others, and various miscellaneous materials. The music manuscripts, which constitute Series I of the Ives Papers, are described in John Kirkpatrick's A Temporary Mimeographed Catalogue of the Music Manuscripts of Charles Ives (1960) and James B. Sinclair's A Descriptive Catalogue of the Music of Charles Ives (New Haven: Yale University Press, 1999). Series II through X are described in the present register.

The Quincy Porter Papers contain the manuscript scores and sketches of Porter's musical compositions, including 2 symphonies, 9 string quartets, and other major compositions and smaller pieces. The Papers also include music copied or arranged by Porter. The correspondence contains letters to and from Porter and other individuals, publishers, performing organizations, and schools and universities. Porter's life and work are further documented by: programs and newspaper clippings; published articles and books; photographs; medals; and scrapbooks.

This collection provides documentation of Leander E. Keck's long career as a New Testament scholar, professor, and theological education administrator. His many speaking engagements, publications, and engagement in the scholarly community are well documented. These are not the official archives of Keck's tenure as Dean of the Yale Divinity School, which are held by the University Archives, but insights into the life of the Divinity School are available in correspondence and course-related materials.

The Virgil Thomson Papers contain the manuscript scores and sketches of Thomson's musical compositions, including music for 3 operas, 7 films, and other major compositions and smaller pieces. The Papers also hold printed copies of books and music by Thomson. The correspondence is voluminous and contains letters to and from many important American and French cultural figures since 1920: composers, musicians, artists, authors, and theatrical personalities. Thomson's life and work are further documented by: writings by and about Thomson; photographs; family and personal documents; financial records; private recordings; and other materials.

The Boris Filippov Papers, 1880-2015, contain business and personal correspondence, writings of Boris Filippov, project files for books Filippov edited, writings by others, personal papers, research files, and book cover art for a number of Filippov editions. Also included are writings, research files, and other papers by or related to the life and work of Eugenia Filipoff, an essayist, cultural critic, and Boris's wife.

The Mel Powell Papers contain sketches, manuscript scores, and published editions of Powell's musical compositions, including orchestral works, chamber music, keyboard pieces, choral music, songs, and electronic music. Powell's correspondence includes letters to and from performers, composers, publishers,musical organizations, and educational institutions. Powell's life and work are further documented by: programs; newspaper and magazine clippings; articles and addresses written by Powell; photographs; and recordings.

The John Kirkpatrick Papers document the life and career of American pianist and scholar John Kirkpatrick through his correspondence with composers, performers, music educators, and family members. The Papers also hold an extensive collection of music, including sketches, manuscripts, and published versions of Kirkpatrick's many editions of music by composers such as Charles Ives and Carl Ruggles. Kirkpatrick's life and work are further documented with photographs, programs, reviews, writings, teaching materials, and miscellaneous items.

Paul Dukas' correspondence with Marguerite Hasselmans spans the years 1907 to 1933 and includes 86 autograph letters and 50 postcards adressed to Marguerite Hasselmans, signed with initials ("PD") or in full ("Paul Dukas"). The collection also includes three letters from Paul Dukas to Gabriel Fauré and contains 15 letters and postcards to Marguerite Hasselmans or her father Alphonse and her brother Louis, written by Paul Poujaud, Jules Massenet, Benjamin Godard, Pauline Viardot, Pierre Lalo and Camille Saint-Saëns.

Series I, Regional and Country Files, is divided subseries that reflect various geographical subdivisions. These files contain materials documenting political, social, and economic affairs in the regions and countries specified.

The records consist annual reports and statistics of the Social Science Library from 1969-1997 as well as correspondence, memoranda, reports, proposals, and committee files of Sandra K. Peterson, Director of the Social Science Libraries and Information Services. The records document the various libraries and collections of the Social Science Libraries and Information Services, including the Social Science Library, Seeley G. Mudd Library, Statistics Library, Government Documents and Information Center, and Economic Growth Center Collection.

The collection consists of research papers and essays by Yale students. Included are many prize-winning essays.

Spinelli Archives. Over 100,000 documents dating from the fourteenth century to the eighteenth, from the palace archive of a Florentine family distinguished for their international banking and mercantile interests in the fifteenth century, their political activities in the city for several centuries, their patronage of religious institutions in Florence and Rome, and their association with the local silk guild. Included are the records of family members who served as papal bankers in the fifteenth century, ambassadors to the courts of Henry VIII and Charles V, churchmen, senators, and ducal employees. The collection documents social and family history, recording the day-to-day concerns of merchants, farmers, workmen, slaves, women, and children in thousands of wills, marriage contracts, personal diaries, family correspondence, grocery lists, household inventories, farm reports, tax statements, and business ledgers. In addition to the papers of the Spinelli family members, the Spinelli Archive also includes extensive documentation on the Baldocci, Guardi, Buonguglielmi and many other Florentine families.

The collection contains reference files on individuals and topics associated with the University of Hartford.

The Dana Family Papers document the personal lives and professional activities of the Dana family of Utica, New York, and New Haven, Connecticut. The collection consists of correspondence, writings, printed material, lectures, notebooks, and miscellanea concerning family members and the scientific accomplishments of James Dwight and Edward Salisbury Dana in the fields of geology, mineralogy, and natural science. The Dana Family Papers are arranged in twenty-four (24) boxes, totalling seven (7) linear feet. Span dates for the collection are 1805-1961, with bulk dates of 1833-1894.

The Albert Galloway Keller Papers contain the writings, correspondence, teaching materials, financial records, and memorabilia of Albert Galloway Keller. The vast majority of these materials document Keller's professional and personal life between 1900 and 1956. Virtually no materials exist from his childhood. The Keller papers also include the records of the William Graham Sumner Club (1914-1949), an organization to which Keller was deeply committed.
