There is also personal correspondence addressed to Lewis and his wife, Margaret P. Sherrand Lewis, as well as essays, addresses, and an unpublished novel by Lewis, and a speech on Italian immigrants by Margaret P. Lewis.

The Wilton Historical Society Map Collection contains maps and atlases of Wilton and Fairfield County, Connecticut, in addition to local blueprints, plans, charts, and lists of cartographical interest. The collection as a whole provides snapshots of Wilton since the 1700s, mapping Wilton businesses, homes, residents, and place names, showing developments in transportation, environment, and economy, and reflecting continuity and change in local cultures. The oldest dated items are photocopies, tracings, or drawings of originals; the earliest originals are from the mid- to late 1700s. The latest additions are from the end of the twentieth century.

Warner spent 37 years as a teacher and administrator and was also a board member and former president of the Scott-Fanton Museum, now known as the Danbury Museum and Historical Society. During his tenure, he supervised and contributed to numerous museum exhibits. The Warner Collection consists of writings, photographs, miscellanea, research notes and papers documenting Warner's life as a World War II medic, author, historian and historical researcher. The bulk of the collection contains an extensive series of newspaper clippings and printed materials relating to local and state history, several boxes of personal papers, and several boxes that contain information on Western's faculty, administration, and events concerning the school's history beginning in the 1940s and continuing through to the late 1990s.

The papers contain correspondence, financial and legal records, genealogical material, account books, maps, autograph albums, scrapbooks, ships' logs, and memorabilia from several generations of the Hooker family of Farmington, Connecticut. Early family records contain correspondence and documents relating to the American Revolution. Eighteenth-century legal and financial records in the papers include deeds and leases on land in Farmington, Connecticut; indentures (1760-1763); wills; and inventories of estates. One of the major figures in the papers is Edward Hooker (1822-1903), commander in the United States Navy. Two volumes document his command of the Potomac Flotilla (1863) and of the U.S.S. Commodore (1864-1865), both during the Civil War. Maps and charts collected by Edward Hooker relate to the Civil War and eight are connected with his command of the U.S.S. Idaho during its voyage around the world (1867-1868).

Many of the Parliamentary speeches concern the power and influence of George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham, including a remonstrance by the House of Commons against the Duke of Buckingham's influence on Charles I; John Digby, Earl of Bristol's response to charges of high treason for his opposition to the Duke of Buckingham; and a speech by Richard Weston, Earl of Portland, conveying King Charles I's displeasure with speeches against the Duke. Other speeches include several complaining about the influence of Catholicism; a speech by Sir Edward Coke on the Petition of Right; and speeches by Charles I and James I to Parliament.

The papers consist of correspondence, papers, volumes, deeds, and other material documenting several generations of the Johnson family of Connecticut and New York. Samuel Johnson (1696-1772), William Samuel Johnson (1727-1819), William Samuel Johnson (1795-1883), and Samuel William Johnson (1828-1895) are prominent figures in the papers. The correspondence of William Livingston (1723-1790) and Noah Welles (1718-1776) is also arranged in the papers. In addition to extensive correspondence between Johnson family members, the papers contain material relating to Connecticut and New York politics in the colonial and Revolutionary War periods, and religion, land development, and Indian affairs in the nineteenth century. Additions to the papers include family correspondence, sketchbooks of Katharine Livingston Bayard Johnson, a diary and account books of Sarah Dwight Woolsey Johnson, photographs by Robert Bayard Severy; Livington family genealogy, by Margaret S. Rutgers; multi-generational account book, and photographs of eighteenth-century documents related to William Samuel Johnson.

The papers relate principally to Henry Ward Beecher (1813-1887), popular 19th century clergyman and orator, and members of his family. Among those represented are his father, the Reverend Lyman Beecher (1775-1863), clergyman; his brothers, Edward Beecher (1803-1895), educator and antislavery leader, and Thomas Kinnicut Beecher (1824-1900) and Charles Beecher (1815-1900), both clergyman and antislavery activist; and his sisters, Harriett Elizabeth (Beecher) Stowe (1811-1896), author, Catherine Esther Beecher (1800-1878), pioneer educator and writer on 'domestic economy,' and Isabella Homes (Beecher) Hooker (1822-1907), well-known suffragist. Also included are papers relating to the Scoville family (mainly Annie Beecher Scoville, 1866-1953, teacher and lecturer), as well as other related families. The papers cover an extremely wide range of cultural, political, social, and religious issues and topics of 19th and early 20th century America and include correspondence from a large number of well-known men and women. The papers were previously known as the Beecher-Scoville Family Papers.
