This collection contains ledgers, records, letters, photographs, posters, scrapbooks, and ephemera pertaining to the military history of Waterbury, Connecticut. Major conflicts of the United States from the Revolutionary War to the Korean War are represented with documents from military and civilian life. Waterbury contributed many soldiers to the wars fought by the United States, and the record of their service is reflected in this collection. As a brass manufacturing center, Waterbury's civilians provided critical assistance to the country's ability to wage war.

The materials consist of formal portraits, group portraits, and reunion photographs of students and graduates of Yale College, Yale School of Law, Yale School of Divinity, Yale School of Medicine and the Sheffield Scientific School.

Elizebeth Bull Plimpton (1921-1994), Lyme town historian and a descendant of first settlers, collected an encyclopedic range of historical material about Lyme and Old Lyme, CT, strongest for the 19th to mid-20th century — artists, authors, businesses, churches, community organizations, fishing, ferries, geography, historic properties and houses, military and maritime subjects, schools and much more. There are original documents, transcriptions, research notes, manuscripts, journals and ledgers, photographs, and print materials.

Correspondence and organizational records document the work of the Association of Professors and Researchers in Religious Education and its predecessor organization from 1963 to 1995. The Association of Professors and Researchers in Religious Education grew out of the Professors and Research Section of the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of Churches. The group decided to move in the direction of a separate autonomous society that would become more ecumenical and interfaith.

Correspondence, writings, subject files, and collected material document the life and work of Margaret Flory and the many organizations with which she was associated throughout her long career in missions and student work. Margaret Flory was an ecumenist, leader of student religious work, and mission executive in the Presbyterian Church (USA) from 1944-1980 who began and directed innovative missions programs including Junior Year Abroad, Frontier Internships in Mission, and Bi-National Service.

Photographs of Haida Gwaii (formerly known as the Queen Charlotte Islands), British Columbia, created during the summer of 2012, and printed as 77 inkjet prints that document the Haida and Kwakwak'awakw (also known as Kwakiutl) people and cultures.

Contains letters from Maugham to various people, including William Morris Colles, Ada Leverson, Charles Hanson Towne, and Donald Goddard Wing; manuscript and proof versions of writings by Maugham, including "Ashenden, or the British agent", "Lady Frederick", and "On a Chinese Screen"; and an etching of Hugh Walpole hitting Elinor Mordaunt in the jaw.

The papers consist of correspondence, political memoranda, campaign literature, and printed matter documenting Kenneth Simpson's career as chairman of the Republican County Committee in New York (1935-1940). The papers also include case and client files from Simpson's legal practice. The papers highlight Simpson's support for Fiorello LaGuardia in the 1936 New York mayoral campaign, his opposition to Thomas E. Dewey's candidacy for presidential nomination in 1940, and his own successful campaign for election to the United States House of Representatives from the Seventeenth Congressional District of New York in 1940.
