The papers consist of family correspondence of the Whiting family as well as the personal correspondence of Nathan Whiting, military and legal documents and miscellaneous family papers, including an address by Polly Whiting on the importance of education for women (undated), an essay by Samuel Whiting on his marriage (pre-1725) and a plan of the Township of Cumberland showing land belonging to Colonel Nathan Whiting and others..

The materials consist of photographs documenting the construction of the Accelerator Laboratories at Yale, including the 1961 addition.

The records consist of reports and administrative files of the Yale Department of Physics documenting the Wright Nuclear Structure Laboratory and the construction of the Sloane Physics Laboratory. Also included is a library circulation book. Accession 2014-A-0074 contains the records of David Allan Bromley, who was Associate Director of the Heavy Ion Accelerator Lab from 1960 to 1963. He was the founder, and from 1963 to 1989, the Director, of Yale's A. W. Wright Nuclear Structure Lab. From 1970 to 1977, he was Chairman of the Physics Department. In 1972, he was appointed the Henry Ford II Professor of Physics and was in this position until 1993.

Contains legal documents signed by Jonathan Trumbull (1710-1785) while governor, and one letter from him to Jonathan Trumbull (1740-1809); a letter from George Washington to Jonathan Trumbull (1740-1809); letters between John Trumbull and various people, regarding his paintings and exhibitions; receipts relating to his work; and draft and printed versions of the handbill announcing the print of his "The Declaration of Independence."

The papers consist of correspondence, writings, and research material relating to the professional career of Paul H. Lavietes. The papers include items relating to his investigation for possible Communist sympathies by the Veterans Administration and the House Committee on Un-American Activities and document his involvement in medical research, various controversies over drug treatments for diabetes, conflict of interest in the pharmaceutical industry, and the John Punnett Peters Memorial Lectures.
