The Model Cities Program was a nationwide initiative begun by the Lyndon B. Johnson administration and lasted from 1966 to 1974. A part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, participating cities sought to approach urban redevelopment and renewal from a different angle, especially as urban renewal began to sound like buzz words. This collection contains printed material and reports related to Bridgeport's implementation of the Model Cities program, as well as related social service programs that followed in its wake.

The Connecticut Civil Liberties Union Records document the activities, history and administrative records of this organization. The collection contains the organizational documents of the New Haven Civil Liberties Council (1949-1958), administrative records of the CCLU (1958-1990) as well as the organization's materials pertaining to court cases.

The Office of Institutional Advancement encompasses the Office of Alumni Affairs and the University Relations, which includes the Office of Public Relations and University Publications and Design. This office conducts fund raising and scholarship distribution and creates and disseminates a unified image for the university.

The Bruce Kellner Papers consist of letters to Kellner and other papers, including two poems by Fania Marinoff, actress and wife of Carl Van Vechten, a list of Marinoff's appearances on stage and in films, and a portion of Marinoff's last will and testament. Correspondents include Donald Gallup, Carl Van Vechten, Alice B. Toklas, Donald Windham, Fania Marinoff, Donald Angus, and others.

The Robert Bartlett Haas Collection on Gertrude Stein and the Conference Press contains correspondence, drafts of writings, notes, photographs, printed material and papers relating to Getrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas, and the production and distribution of Conference Press publications, including Stein's What Are Masterpieces?

This collection contains documentation of schools for missionary children in China and the alumni associations of the schools. Records of the Kuling American School, North China American School, and Peking American School are included in this record group.
