The drawing shows two butterlfies in flight, near a stalk of grass. The Latin names are listed as Hecuba and Agavus (see Morpho hecuba and Parides agavus).

The drawing depicts two butterflies, one with an orange and gray pattern, one with a blue and black pattern, near a flower with several blossoms. No identification of the butterflies is given.

Designed, handset in Bodoni italic, and printed on Vélin d'Arches mould-made paper by Michael Mitchell at the Libanus Press, Marlborough, Wiltshire, for Anthony Baker of the Gruffyground Press, Ladram, Sidcot, Winscombe, Somerset. Shirley Smith pearwood engraving [Rhinoceros Beetle on title page; Bain no. 251] printed from the original block. The Libanus Press logo by Shirley Smith also appears on the colophon page [1975; Bain no. 235]. The edition is limited to two hundred copies; one hundred copies are signed by Shirley Smith and John Heath-Stubbs. The cover is ochre Mingei handmade paper wrapper printed in black.
