The Zambia Group files include minutes of annual meetings and financial records, including letters of acknowledgement from organizations supported by the group, such as the American Committee on Africa and SWAPO. There is extensive correspondence between members, both quarterly group letters and individual letters to the keeper of these files, Gail (Morlan) Hovey. See the first folder for additional information about the group. Documentation of the activities of group members complements other collections at Yale Divinity Special Collections, including the Washington Office on Africa archives and Episcopal Churchpeople for Southern Africa archives. There are also strong links to Frontier Internship in Mission records; most members of the Zambia Group were Frontier Interns. The files also provide an interesting snapshot of life issues for a group of educated liberal Christian activists and educators in the second half of the 20th century.
