One letter missing the second page noting receipt of an earlier correspondence regarding business of the woolen factory. Notes that he mentioned appointing a Mr. Rowland as Notary Public to his brother who will respond to Mr. Rowland directly.

Writes to Jacob Rutsen Van Rensselaer to acknowledge receipt of his letter. He has been authorized by his brother, Oliver Wolcott, to assure him that he has made no unfavorable representations of Van Rensselaer's character respecting the incorporation of the Bank of America.

Copy of a letter sent to J. Mason in response to his inquiry about purchasing Wolcott's factory. (See series 1: folder 45.) Notes that he shall be prepared in the spring to make the conveyance as they do not differ in terms. Notes orders for the purchase of additional machinery costing $3000.

Order to sell the estate of Truman Seymour of Torrington at public auction to pay creditors. Appears to be a draft in the hand of Frederick Wolcott with a large "X" through the text on the front. A note on the reverse indicates that the sale did not occur.

Copy made by Frederick Wolcott of the resolve incorporating the Litchfield Manufacturing Company "for the purpose of manufacturing cloths and other fabrics of wool and cotton and of wool and cotton together."

Two receipts for probate fees, one received of Ephaphroditus Seymour for the estate of Moses Seymour and one from Morris Woodruff for the estate of Abner Northrup.

Reply to a letter from Peter Jackson noting his pleasure to hear that Jackson approves of the upcoming marriage of their children, John Peter Jackson and Elizabeth Wolcott. Notes his efforts to provide his children with education and principles that would render them "happy & respectable." Describes his daughter's disposition and expresses his affection for John Jackson; invites his family to be present for the ceremony.

Letter to Putnam Catlin introducing George C. Woodruff, and requesting his assistance in setting up Woodruff's law practice in Litchfield.

Copy of a letter sent to Zebedee Cook of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society thanking him for the certificate of membership, letter, and box containing grape vines which Wolcott will attempt to cultivate.

Letter concerning the distribution of the the estate of John Moss to his widow and heirs.
