This collection contains materials related to gender equality, gay and lesbian civil rights, and state and local government in Connecticut from 1979 to 2012. Related organizations include the Connecticut General Assembly and Human Services Committee, Love Makes a Family, the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women, and the National Organization of Women. Issues discussed consist of local and state legislative issues, use of gender specific titles and language, equal rights for women, and civil rights for gay and lesbian people. The range of materials include correspondence, magazine articles, flyers, reports, and clippings from newspapers such as The Shore Line Times, The Middletown Press, and the New Haven Journal-Courier. Betty Hudson's legislative and political papers were donated to the Connecticut State Library in July 2015.

The Bill Bahlman Papers are almost totally AIDS-related. They include early flyers from the Lavender Hill Mob and from ACT UP, New York City. There are copies of testimony before the Presidential Commission on AIDS (1987-88) and of Congressional testimony. There are some photocopies of AIDS-related newspaper articles. The range of materials includes copies of flyers, newspaper articles, statements and testimony before Senate and Congressional committees.

This collection contains materials related to several gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender civil rights and pride groups in Connecticut from 1986 to 2009. This includes Connecticut Pride, Connecticut Women's Education and Legal Fund, Family Pride, Gay & Lesbian Parents Coalition International, The Connecticut Coalition for Lesbian and Gay Civil Rights, and The Connecticut Stonewall Coalition. Issues discussed include hate crimes legislation, gay marriage, gay civil rights, and domestic partner rights. The range of materials include correspondence, newspaper articles, magazine articles, meeting minutes, agendas, budgets, flyers, and photographs.

The collection of Christine Pattee's personal papers include research articles and monographs on feminism and lesbianism, booksellers' catalogs, and biographical information. Records related to the Northeast Women's Music Retreat, photographs, T-Shirts, ephemera and artifacts form the major focus of the collection.

The Connecticut AIDS Action Council Collection consists of adminstrative records and subject files.

This collection includes documents relating directly to the Connecticut Coalition for Lesbian and Gay Civil Rights in addition to articles, advertisements, and correspondence during the time period of 1984-2003.

This collection contains materials related to the Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, from its first festival in 1988 until its 29th festival in 2016. Materials are organized chronologically, except for shelved materials which are organized alphabetically. Included is information (submission forms, synopses, correspondence, reviews) about more than 2,600 films from over 70 countries that were shown or considered for the festival. Of these, more than 1,300 short- and feature-length films were shown. More than 500 DVDs are stored in boxes with other materials from specific festival years while nearly 450 movies on Beta, VHS, and DVD are stored alphabetically in the archives. Over 150 posters and 48 t-shirts are stored in the archives as well. Generally, the files for each festival year include the following: a list of and information about the films shown and considered for the festival, the festival program and promotional materials, information about planning and preparation for each festival, materials related to the gay and lesbian community, and information about other film festivals. Additionally, information is included about films shown at benefits related to the CT GLFF and about films shown at the EROS Film Festival, a companion festival shown yearly beginning in 1999. The range of materials includes correspondence, newspaper and magazine articles, meeting agendas and minutes, flyers, brochures, photographs, posters, t-shirts, VHS and Beta tapes, DVDs, film submission and review forms, programs and catalogs from local and international film festivals.

The collection contains programs, flyers, articles and realia relating to the festivals over the years, with the bulk of the material dating from 1982 through 2000. In addition, information regarding the LGBT State Employees Association and their fight to win "State Pride" are located in the collection.

This collection contains a variety of publications, correspondence, newspaper and internet articles, and general information relating to gay and lesbian culture, same-sex marriage legislation, second parent adoption legislation, and Connecticut state employee domestic partnership rights, among other related issues. The material dates from 1987-2011.

The collection consists of minutes of meetings held between 1963 and 1982, reports, articles, annual reports, talks and newspaper clippings, and subject files kept by Canon Clinton Jones. Much of the committee correspondence consists of letters to and from Canon Clinton Jones. Among the correspondents are letters from Foster Gunnison Jr., a pioneer in the gay liberation movement. Mr. Gunnison headed the Institute of Social Ethics in Hartford. There are many letters from Alfred A. Gross, director of the George W. Henry Foundation in New York city. Materials about ERCHO (Eastern Regional Conference of Homophile Organizations) and NACHO (North American Conference of Homophile Organizations) are also present. The collection provides a wealth of historic information concerning all aspects of homosexuality and the gay liberation movement through the Stonewall riots and beyond.
