Rex Brasher (1869-1960) was one of America's greatest bird painters. He painted almost twice as many North American birds as Louis Aggasiz Fuertes or John James Audubon. He painted a total of 875 water color paintings of 1200 species or subspecies of birds in their natural habitats, based on American Ornithologists Union Checklist of North American Birds.

Robert Nicholas was raised in North Haven, CT. Giaimo was a member of the 86th-96th Congresses from the Third District of Connecticut (New Haven area) from 1958-1980. During his twenty-two years, he served on the House Budget Committee, the House Commission on Information and Facilities, the Joint Committee on Intelligence, the House Appropriations Committee, and its subcommittees on Department of Defense, District of Columbia, Treasury Postal Service and General Government, Legislative Branch, and Housing and Urban Development.

The Rogers Paper Manufacturing Company was founded in Manchester, Connecticut, by Dutch immigrant Peter Rogers in 1832. In 1900, the Rogers Company began supplying insulated paperboard to electrical transformer manufacturers. The company incorporated in 1901, but thereafter, the company stagnated. It was taken over by a group of Boston financiers and incorporated in Massachusetts in 1927.

Union that represented workers at the Royal Typewriter Company in Hartford, Connecticut. Records consist of index cards of information created by the union about workers for a strike in 1967 and dues paid by members.

The collection consists of tour guidebooks compiled by Bernard L. Rudberg of photocopies of photographs, maps, correspondence, and documents related to the history of the Central New England Railway, which ran from Maybrook, New York, to Hartford, Connecticut, in the period between 1898 and 1927, at which point it was taken over by the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad. Mr. Rudberg creates the books for the participants of an annual guided bus tour he coordinates, in April or May of each year beginning in 2002, that follows portions of the old railway line, and provides information about the towns on the route, train wrecks that occurred, old carbarns, turntables and roundhouses, and such features as the Poughkeepsie River Bridge.
