The Eastern Nursing Research Society (ENRS) is comprised of RNs and others interested in nursing research. It was established in 1988 as the research arm of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Nursing Association (MARNA) and the New England Organization for Nursing (NEON). The ENRS region includes Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington, D.C.

The collection contains the professional papers of Edward A. Khairallah, Professor of Molecular and Cell Biology, at the University of Connecticut.

Edward Cosier (1865-1930) was an employee of the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad for over 40 years.

Papers collected or created by Edward F. Donegan, a conductor for the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad from 1941 to 1967. The materials include labor contracts, conductor fare cards and instructions, safety bulletins, diagrams of the railroad's interlocking stations along the right-of-way, and photographs.

Edward J. Quirk (1906-1989) worked as a ticket agent for the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad. The collection consists of train passes, railroad memorabilia and photographs gathered by Mr. Quirk.

The collection primarily consists of correspondence between Edward J. Rubins and his wife, Ruth, between 1942 and 1943. Also included is a mansucript copy of Rubins' dissertation (1948, University of Maryland) and two letters from Albert Jorgensen, President of the University of Connecticut, concerning Rubins' employment at the University.

The collection contains correspondence between and received by Edward L. Curial and his future wife, Elizabeth Marvin Treat.

In 1955, the Connecticut General Assembly authorized funding for the construction of a junior-senior high school in Mansfield, Connecticut, to be administered by the University of Connecticut. The school opened in the fall of 1958 and remained a division of the UConn School of Education until the summer of 1987.

The collection contains preliminary and original art created by Ed Young as illustrations for children's books.

Dr. Johansen was a Professor of Political Science at the University of Connecticut for nearly 20 years, from 1979 to 1996. In the early part of the 1980s Dr. Johansen performed an extensive study on Comparable Worth (an economic concept stressing equal pay for equal work, often applied to arguments of gender-based pay equity), including the collection of data on Comparable Worth initiatives in State legislatures. This work resulted in the publication of Comparable Worth: The Myth and the Movement in 1984. In 1990 Dr. Johansen published Political Corruption: Scope and Resources: an Annotated Bibliography. Prof. Johansen passed away in 1997 after a battle with cancer.
