The collection contains William T. Gresh's personal papers such as discharge document, memoirs, and video of oral history interview about his experience serving as Signaman Second Class in U.S. Navy during World War II.

Correspondence, research material, writings and biographical material collected by C.-E.A. Winslow for a biography of Sedgwick, published in 1924. The correspondence (1879-1921) is with students and colleagues on professional matters, and the fragmentary research material concerns bacteriological studies of milk. For additional Sedgwick correspondence, see the C.-E.A. Winslow papers, MS749. The writings include articles, lecture notes, reports and essays. Also in the papers is a lengthy tribute to Sedgwick by George C. Whipple. These papers form part of the Contemporary Medical Care and Health Policy Collection.

Papers pertaining to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; legal notes; bound volumes of opinions delivered by Timbers, 1970-1992; bound volumes of case summaries, 1971-1992; and law review articles.

William Van Duyn, a former smoker, collected advertisements and news articles related to tobacco, especially to cigarette smoking. These include cigarette advertisements by company and brand; other forms of tobacco advertisements including billboards (photographs taken by Van Duyn), merchandise catalogs, and sponsorship of racing; and newspaper and magazine articles and ephemera related to the anti-smoking movement and tobacco regulation and litigation.

The papers consist of correspondence, subject files, printed material, maps, and photographs relating to Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia) and Nyasaland (now Malawi). Compiled by William Vernon Brelsford.

The papers consist of original drawings, with photocopies and photographs, of the Italian campaign during World War II. The sketches depict daily life in the army camps, soldiers in combat, local inhabitants and scenery, and weaponry. Included are illustrations done at the 24th Replacement Depot near Naples; drawings of the areas of Monterenzio, Monte della Formiche, Lucca, Sassoleone, and San Clemente di Rignano; and drawings depicting the Apennines and Po Valley campaigns. The papers also include photocopies and notes pertaining to the "Pink Elephant" mural which William Caldwell painted for the Regimental Officers' Club at Fort McClellan and to the "Training Cycle" mural which has been exhibited at the Pentagon.

Disbound photograph album with images that document people and the built landscape in the West Indies, circa 1859-1865, and views of people and sites in Wales, 1858. The album includes several studio portraits of Johnston, and a studio portrait that probably depicts his father, Thomas Francis Johnston.

Chiefly correspondence, including original letters and typed transcripts to and from William Watson and other letters and transcripts concerning him; and holograph writings by Watson, including a holograph of Wordsworth's Grave and Other Poems, many single poems, and a smaller amount of other poetry collections, prose writings, and music.
Also included are personal papers of William Watson; papers of Maureen Pring Watson, including drafts of a biography of her husband; photograph portraits of William Watson, Maureen Pring Watson, and other family members; and other photographs, drawings, and printed material. Also present are a small amount of papers relating to research on William Watson by John Alexander Symington, R. W. D. Holland, and Walter E. Swayze.
Correspondence includes a large number of letters from William Watson to Maureen Pring Watson and to publisher John Lane. Watson's personal papers include a group of letters and documents concerning his brother Robinson Watson. Most other correspondence concerns Watson's writing and relations with his publishers; also discussed are his views on literature, his interest in his literary reputation, and his family, friendships, and social engagements.

The records consist of six titles from the University Outline series with accompanying material, including a newsclipping and a legal opinion concerning the copyright issues surrounding the series. The outlines are based on Yale courses in American literature, geology, French, and psychology. The materials were compiled by William W. Crawford (Yale 1938). Included are notices of loans awarded to Crawford by the Yale Bureau of Appointments.
