This collection details William Huebner’s experiences during his enlistment in World War II and the Korean War. A taped interview was conducted on February 22, 2004 at William’s home by Eileen Hurst. Along with his taped interview the collection contains reproductions of documents and photographs. The materials provide evidence of American troop combat activity, troop deployment, enemy activity and engagement, and U.S. military moral and courage.

This collection details William Joseph Newman’s experience during his enlistment in the Vietnam War as well as the years following. An interview was conducted on April 2, 2004 at William’s home by Eileen Hurst. The collection consists of the interview and a reproduction of the scanned interview synopsis detailing William’s military career and combat experiences. This oral history details William’s experiences in the military and offers insights into the responsibilities, concerns, and duties of Army officers in combat situations.
