The Westport Business and Commerce Collection contains articles, brochures, invoices, correspondence, advertisements, deeds, and other documentation relating to Westport companies and commerce activities, including manufacturing, agriculture, shell fishing, mills, shipping, and the Westport Bar Association.
The Westport History, Events, and Topics Collection documents the history of the town of Westport through publications, event documentation, and topical files compiled by the Westport Museum.
The Westport Places Collection includes documentation of bridges, roads, cemeteries, churches, temples, historic houses, parks, waterways, and other sites in Westport.
The Westport Town Records Collection contains town records that have been donated to or gathered by the Westport Museum of History and Culture. These are primarily records generated by or related to official town bodies.
WESU was founded in 1939 as a student radio station. From 1967 until 1990, it operated under the purview of the Wesleyan Broadcast Association, independent from Wesleyan University, broadcasting on the FM band at 88.1 megahertz. In 2003, Wesleyan University acquired the license to broadcast at 88.1 megahertz, and WESU became a subsidiary thereof.
