Collections

Since the third year of HCC in 1968, HCC newsletters have been an important method of communicating with the college faculty, staff, students and general public. Newsletters provide information about HCC academics, personnel, activities, meetings, clubs, sports programs, events, and other essential news relating to the college and of interest both within the college and to the outside community.

A collection of disks with video recordings of oral histories about the college from HCC employees conducted by the Archivist. Some histories have been transcribed to print; some are print only when filming process was not available.

This collection contains background information on each of HCC's presidents and CEOs, documents relevant to each president's or CEO's term of office, photographs, and informative material after each person's retirement from the college.

Collection of HCC Awards Ceremony Programs, press clippings, press releases

This collection contains meeting minutes, flyers, printed announcements and other material pertaining to the student clubs at Housatonic Community College.

This collection contains newspaper clips from local city and college newspapers, photos, and internal papers relative to the officers, governance, and activities of Housatonic Community College Student Government.

This collection contains copies of the Housatonic Community College Student Handbook. The earliest copies are estimated (copies are not dated) to be for the 1966-1967 academic year with separate Fall and Spring publications.

This collection contains press releases, press clips, student member lists, induction ceremony programs and other material pertaining to the National and International Greek Honor Societies active at Housatonic Community College. Such societies recognize students' academic excellence and many offer scholarships and transfer opportunities.

This collection contains student-published newspapers for Housatonic Community College from 1967 through present day.
