The records consist of reports and analyses documenting the activities and operations of the Gift Accounting Office, including records for the Campaign for Yale. Also included are printouts of gifts by source, category, and purpose; printouts on pledge information; and a gifts master list.
The collection contains research files, interviews, correspondence, writings, and other materials relating to Gilbert A. Harrison's biography of Thornton Wilder, The Enthusiast: A Life of Thornton Wilder (New Haven: Ticknor & Fields, 1983). Harrison's research files, which include notes, photocopies of correspondence and writings, and clippings, make up the bulk of the collection. In addition to the research files, the collection includes: sound recordings of interviews with members of the Wilder family and others, such as Alfred Hitchcock and Lillian Gish; correspondence with Wilder family, scholars, and publishers; a corrected draft of the biography and reviews; and other materials, including biographical information, a copy of Wilder's will, and reference photographs.
The Gilbert & Bennett Mfg. Co. Collection contains the business records and related materials of the Gilbert & Bennett Mfg. Co., its owners, and its factory site in Georgetown, Conn.
The collection primarily consists of writings by Gilbert Cannan, containing autograph manuscripts of his novels, plays, poetry, and short stories, with some examples of his non-fiction writing, including the manuscript of his work Samuel Butler: a Critical Study. Series I holds the literary manuscripts, while Series II holds a law examination certificate and two photographs of Black Lake Cottage, in Farnham, Surrey, where Cannan lived for a time.
The papers document the families formed by the marriages of two sisters, Mary and Fanny Goodridge, to William Hinman Gilbert and Henry A. Cheever, respectively. William H. Gilbert was a clergyman from Weston, Connecticut who, with his wife, taught in schools in Vermont and Massachusetts. Henry A. Cheever was a sea captain who settled in San Francisco ca. 1853 and brought his wife and children there from Massachusetts. The papers consist of correspondence, diaries, journals, record books, photographs, memorabilia, printed matter, and sermons relating to the lives of these two families and their children.The Cheever letters from San Francisco describe the political and social life of the city in addition to carrying news of the family and domestic activities. William E. Goodridge, brother of the two Goodridge sisters, wrote from the West where he described life in Nevada. After his death in 1864, his fiancee Sara A. Gonsalves continued to write to the family from Washington D.C. with descriptions of visits to soldiers' hospitals and other references to the Civil War. William H. Gilbert, who was an army agent of the American Bible Society (1864-1865), also reported on the Civil War and later, writing on his travels in Alabama in 1870, described the lynching of a black school teacher.

The Gil J Wolman papers consists of correspondence, writings, printed items, artworks, photographs, sound recordings, and other materials by or relating to French artist Gil J Wolman (1929-1995) and his milieu. The collection documents the early Lettrist movement of the 1950s through correspondence, writings of Wolman and others, and materials related to Lettrist films, especially Wolman's Anticoncept (1952) and Isidore Isou's Traite? de bave et d'e?ternite? (1951). The collection also documents the creation of Wolman's artist's books, literary works, and sound poetry ("me?gapneumie"), as well as his professional career in the Paris art gallery scene from circa 1960 to 1995.
