The collection contains correspondence between George Mackley and members of his family and University of Connecticut professor, Wilma Keyes.

This collection contains the research notes, documents, and photocopies assembled by historian George Martin for his biography, Madam Secretary: Frances Perkins (Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1976).

George McKenzie Roberts (1886-1980) was elected a Fellow of the American Society of Genealogists in 1950. These papers include manuscript drafts of genealogies of the John Roberts, Andrew Smith, Ebenezer Spear, and Abel and Elizabeth (Spear) Wellington families.

George M. Davidson's diary and correspondence describe an 1849 overland trip to California. This material records the hardships of the journey, encounters with Indians, life in the California gold mines, and his establishment of a general store in Pine Grove. There are business records such as store inventories, bills from suppliers, a mining work ledger, bullion receipts, and informal certificates for mining shares in Butte County and Sierra counties, California.

The collection contains manuscripts, annotated proofs and printed works, correspondence, and other papers documenting the life and works of George Meredith.

Correspondence, writings, biographical material and other papers of George M. Beard, physician and specialist in the treatment of mental and nervous disorders. Included are materials relating to his work on the medical uses of electricity and his pioneering work in the definition of criminal insanity, as well as papers relating to his interest in spiritualism. Also included are a number of letters received by his daughter, Grace Alden Beard, related to a biographical study of her father.

Contains letters from Moore to various people, including Jacques-Emile Blanche, Edouard Dujardin, and Edmund Gosse; manuscripts of writings by Moore, including "Esther Waters", "Heloise and Abelard", "The Nineness in the Oneness", and "The Peacock's Feathers."

The papers consist of correspondence and other materials which relate to George Parmly Day's many positions at Yale University. The papers primarily concern Day's fund-raising activities as treasurer of the University and of the Alumni Fund and as secretary of the Class of 1897. To a lesser extent the papers reflect Day's publishing interests as a founder and director of the Yale University Press and contributor to the Yale Alumni Magazine. Included also are papers of the Acrotorque Company, a manufacturer of transmissions in Cleveland, Ohio.
