The collection contains publications, proposals, petitions, photographs and plans for the "new community" and documentation of the Greater Hartford Process, Inc.

The manuscripts, personal papers, scrapbooks, publications, and media documentation of children's book author and scholar Francelia Butler, Professor Emerita of Children's Literature at the University of Connecticut. The collection includes copies of her own works, as well as the work of various other authors. In addition to the text materials in the collection there are numerous audio and video tapes of many well known figures discussing various topics related to children's literature, including James Marshall, Maurice Sendak, and others who presented in Butler's "kiddie lit" classes.

Correspondence, drafts of speeches, articles, reports, and printed and typed material related to cataloguing. The papers are related exclusively to Field's professional life as a librarian and cataloguer, and is mostly composed of printed or other duplicated material.

The papers of Frances Boldereff include correspondence, literary manuscripts, notebooks and journals, personal and professional papers, books owned and annotated by Boldereff, references materials, notes, financial documents, clippings, photographs, and personal ephemera that reflect the work, activities, and intellectual life of the author, her family, and her community of friends.

The papers contain correspondence, journals, financial papers, scrapbooks and drafts of Frost's poetry, short stories, and longer works.

The collection consists of reports and documents retained by Frances Perkins at state and federal agencies.

The records consist of transcripts of witness testimony. Attorney General Francis A. Pallotti charged Connecticut State Highway Department Commissioner William J. Cox on February 4, 1942 for misconduct and material neglect of duty or incompetence in the conduct of office. Commissioner Cox was suspended with pay on February 5, 1942. The case focused on the commissioner's oversight of employees and the procedures used in bidding for highway projects. Governor Robert A. Hurley found Commissioner Cox had not committed misconduct or negligence in his official duties. Commissioner Cox was reinstated on July 27, 1942.

Francis D. Donovan (1917-2005) was a resident of Medway, Massachusetts, and an avid railroad photograph and memorabilia collector and researcher, particularly of materials associated with the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad and its predecessor lines. His papers consist of his writings and research files about the railroad; photographs of stations, engines, and railroad scenes; maps, scrapbooks, postcards and timetables.

This collection consists primarily of samples of Francis Gillette's writings on a variety of subjects.
