The papers contain notes, outline, and manuscript drafts for Edward Parmalee Morris' unfinished work on Yale curriculum, 1701-1850, drafts of talks on Yale curriculum in the eighteenth-century, a typescript on the lives and cultural backgrounds of Samuel Eliot (1716-1741) and Augustus Eliot (1720-1747), and "Problems of Admission to Canadian Universities" by T. W. L. MacDermot.
The papers consist of miscellaneous personal papers of Edward Parmelee Smith including letters to his future wife (1851-1854) and letters to his daughter (1872-1873) with an account of a sea voyage to California and his impressions once there. His years at Yale College are documented by an autograph album with messages from his teachers and classmates (1849-1855). Among the four photographs in the papers is one showing Smith with six students when he was president of Howard University, Washington, D.C. (1875). Clippings and correspondence describe his work as Commissioner of Indian Affairs (1873) and his death in Africa in 1876 while an envoy of the American Missionary Association.

Friedland, Antique houses: Their construction and restoration, 1990. According to the date stamped on some slides, some material was acquired in the mid-1970's. Most of the material is unlabeled and packed according to broad groupings. Material was received from the donor with limited identifying information. The collection comprises the papers of Judge Edward R. Becker, who served both with the United States District Court of Eastern Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. His papers include correspondence, court memorandums, other court-related documents, speeches, subject files, programs and fliers, and newspaper and journal clippings, mainly related to cases over which he presided. Materials cover from 1943 to 2006, with the bulk from 1972 to 2006.
The collection documents Robie's professional work at Andover Theological Seminary and as a Congregational minister in Greenland, New Hampshire from 1852 to 1917.
Edward Roth was a graduate of Bellevue Hospital Medical College in New York city in 1880 after the required attendance of two years. The collection consists of ten volumes, the first five of which are Roth's notes on medical school lectures and clinics from 1878-1880. The remaining five include four volumes documenting his clinical practice in New Haven, 1891-1893, and one volume with a few entries on practice in Massachusetts in late 1893.
The papers primarily document Park's work as Professor of Sacred Rhetoric (1836-1847) and Professor of Christian Theology (1847 to 1881) at Andover Theological Seminary, and as editor of Bibliotheca Sacra from 1844 to 1884.
Correspondence and scrapbooks of the fourth and fifth generations of the family of Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) chiefly relating to their health and welfare. Includes the correspondence of Jonathan Edwards (1789-1875), a politician from upper New York State; his brother-in-law, George Champion, a missionary to the Zulus in 1838; and his son, Jonathan Edwards, Jr. (1841-1886), who studied medicine but did not practice and who edited Yale's catalogue of Greek and Roman coins. Subjects covered in the letters include the Know Nothing movement, business risks in New York in the 1840's, religious conversions, the Civil War, temperance, and descriptions (1861-1862) of Albert Hamilton Emery's inventions for the cannon. Includes a letter from Jeremiah Clemens, Senator from Alabama, relating to Aaron Burr.
