The papers consist of Clifford Taylor's business records and printed material. The business records document the Ku Klux Klan in North Dakota and the American Krusaders and printed material contains publications by the Klan.
Consists of typescript, holograph and mimeograph drafts and notes for A Mind That Found Itself by Clifford W. Beers, Yale graduate, author, founder of the Mental Hygiene Movement, and reformer in the field of mental health. Also included are printed materials, pamphlets, and clippings relating to Beers and his work in addition to photographs of Beers and his wife, the former Clara Louise Jepson.
Correspondence, reports, charts, and maps created and compiled by Clifton Ewing Hickok related to water use and availability studies in southern California, as well as efforts by the Volcan Land and Water Company to sell its land and water rights to the city of San Diego, 1897-1915. The collection also includes reports and charts created by his business partner, William S. Post, and others, including Philip E. Harroun and Charles H. Lee.
The C.B Hadsell Collection contains 269 glass plate negatives and photographs created by Avon resident Clinton B. Hadsell from 1899 to 1919. Each glass plate negative is titled and dated. Detailed historical content for 60 of the Hadsell photos was researched by Avon Town Historian Nora O. Howard for the 2017 Hadsell Brothers exhibit at the Avon Public Library. The collection also includes several boxes of his original camera equipment, including a large Bellows camera, a Cycle Poco No. 1 camera, an ICA Camera, tripod, and wooden mounting frames. Also includes personal items such as scrapbooks, journals, various books, family mementos, postcards. A wooden bench from his family home on East Main Street in Avon, CT is part of the collection. A biography of the Hadsell Family, written by Nora O. Howard in 2017, accompanies the collection.
The collection consists of a switchyard layout diagram, published materials, photographs, and a signalman's hand lamp belonging to New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad signal superintendent Clinton C. Hurlbut, who worked for the railroad from 1912 to 1961.

Abstract Or Scope
The Clippings File of the James Weldon Johnson Memorial Collection includes pamphlets and clippings documenting the African American experience in the twentieth century. The collection especially highlights the achievements of individual African Americans, the work of community and education organizations, and areas such as film, theater, music, sports, politics, and civil rights. The clippings were collected primarily by Langston Hughes, James Weldon and Grace Nail Johnson, Ollie Jewel Simms Okala (a friend and close associate of the Johnsons), and Carl Van Vechten, with some additional materials added by others. Clippings in the collection are drawn from general news sources as well as national and regional newspapers and magazines with an African American focus. The majority of clippings are from New York, Ohio, Arkansas, Illinois, and Pennsylvania newspapers. The collection also includes pamphlets and ephemera.
The papers contain correspondence, printed material, reports, and other papers documenting Clive Day's activities as an advisor to the American Commission to Negotiate Peace, a Yale University professor of political economy, and a member of the Connecticut Unemployment Commission.
