Diaries, writings, correspondence, and memorabilia of Charles Upson Clark. The diaries (1886-1960) make up the largest part of the papers and are reflected in Clark's autobiography, a draft of which is included in the papers. The correspondence with family and friends includes approximately 180 letters (1898-1900) written by Clark to Annie White Frary, his future wife. His major correspondents are Judah Goldin and James Babb.

Charles Upton was born on December 13, 1948 in San Francisco. He published two volumes of poetry at the age of 19, and despite his relative youth, has been considered a member of the Beat Poet generation ever since. Upton was also involved in peace activism, alternative spiritualities and later in traditionalist metaphysics.

The collection consists of scrapbooks, photographs, newspaper clippings and ephemera of Charles Wayne Chase primarily documenting the Yale Crew Team, rowing and regattas.

The papers are made up entirely of a combined logbook and journal, "Log of a cruise in the U.S. Gunboat 'Port Royal'." Included in the journal is Charles William Bishop's account of the sinking of the Cumberland by the Merrimac, together with poetry, newspaper clippings, and other papers about the battle.

Includes thirty four notebooks of genealogical notes, including one the Bull family; preliminary papers for a digest of probate records; Windsor, CT vital statistics; newspaper clippings; correspondence; a personal ledger; photographs; and some genealogical notes collected by Mary E. Manwaring.

Largely Yale memorabilia including programs, pins, and a model of the Yale fence. Also in the Charles Winslow Burpee collection are photographs of members of Skull and Bones ca. 1883 and related memorabilia.

Correspondence, writings and legal and financial papers relating to Charles W. Stearns' family and his alumni activities on behalf of the Yale University class of 1837.

This record group documents Ranson's mission and ecumenical work, particularly providing insight on the development and operations of the International Missionary Council and Theological Education Fund. His work as a theological educator and administrator, and his latter years in a Congregational pastorate are also documented. Ranson served as an Irish Methodist missionary in South India, General Secretary of the International Missionary Council, Director of the Theological Education Fund and Dean of the Drew University Theological School.

Sixty-eight letters and postcards, most containing discussion on the publication of Combs' book, Pilgrim's Terrace: Poems, American, West Indian, published in Puerto Rico. The collection also includes sixteen pages of long galleys for Combs' book.
