The papers contain correspondence and military papers documenting the military career of Charles Dimon in 1864-65.

Correspondence, memoranda, reports and miscellanea of Charles A. Russell. Professional material from public welfare, education, and international cultural cooperative organizations including the Edward W. Hazen Foundation are present.

The Charles A. Wheeler Papers contains correspondence and ephemeral materials pertaining to his association with Storrs Agricultual College, now the University of Connecticut. Mr. Wheeler was a mathematics instructor who also taught free-hand drawing and surveying at the College from 1897 to 1930. He is also identified as the College Engineer. His wife, Maude K. Wheeler taught Domestic Science (Home Economics) at the College from 1898 to 1900.

The Charles Bartlett Andrews papers (2011-16-0, .42 linear feet) document Charles B. Andrews (1834-1902), who was a lawyer, governor of Connecticut, and chief justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court, consist of letters regarding men who sought or were recommended for government positions or assistance, other correspondence, legal opinions, petitions, drafts and working papers, printed materials related to court matters and the Connecitcut Republican party, and other documents.

A collection of questionnaires completed by 320 Americans before and after visits to the Soviet Union in the summer of 1960. These questionnaires were the basis of Charles Barton Neff's doctoral dissertation, "Attitude Change in American Travelers to the Soviet Union" (Yale University, 1961).

The Charles B. Gunn Collection consists of papers produced by and about Gunn, as well as materials he collected of historical information about the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Company, Penn Central, Amtrak, and Conrail. The collection includes photographs taken by Gunn when he served as official photographer for the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Company, in the mid-1950s.

The records consist of subject files maintained by Charles Bockelman as associate provost of Yale.
