Charles Adams power of attorney to Warren W. Bissell regarding bonds, stock, and scrip to be issued by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company.

The collection consists primarily of material created and accumulated by Charles Fenton in the course of researching and writing books on Stephen Vincent Benét and Ernest Hemingway. Research material includes correspondence about Benét and Hemingway, Fenton's notes about their lives and careers, and index cards with which Fenton organized his research. In addition to research on Benét and Hemingway, the collection contains a smaller amount of research material on the topic of "Writer in America" and the history of The National Institute of Arts and Letters, as well as notes regarding Fenton's World War II anthology and notes on American writers. The collection also contains professional and personal papers, including manuscripts and teaching materials from Fenton's years as a lecturer at Duke University.

The materials consist of photographs of Yale and New Haven, Connecticut in the late nineteenth-century. Included are views of various student rooms, academic buildings, and well-known university and New Haven scenes. Some photographs are of other institutions, including Princeton, Dartmouth, Harvard, and Vassar. Also inclued is a photograph of Charles A. Gulliver's college book store on Chapel Street.

The materials consist of photographs and negatives taken by Charles Alburtus, primarily of Yale buildings, grounds, and individuals. Includes a few photographs of New Haven, Connecticut.

The collection contains correspondence, clippings, notes, and memorabilia associated with the Class of 1929 and Mr. Anderson's role as class representative to the Alumni Association.

Charles and Joy Sheffey were American Methodist medical missionaries who served in Wembo Nyama, Belgian Congo (now Democratic Republic of the Congo) between 1922 and 1944. Letters, journals, and writings of Charles and Joy Sheffey document their medical work and record their reactions to the culture and environment they encountered in Africa.

The papers consist almost entirely of bibliographical material, newspaper magazine articles, excerpts from books and news dispatches collected for his proposed work on American literary approaches to the Spanish Civil War. There is also a small amount of correspondence (1954-1960). Important correspondents are Daniel Aaron, Claude G. Bowers, Granville Hicks, Rolfe Humphries, Mark Schorer and F. Jay Taylor.

The papers consist of student notebooks, a letterbook, and a journal of Charles A. Bristed, Jr., and his wife. Bristed's student notebooks were produced while he studied at Stonyhurst College in England, 1887-1889.

The collection contains seventeen notebooks from Bristed's undergraduate and graduate studies at Yale and Cambridge universities from the late 1830s to mid 1840s, chiefly on classical authors and texts, including translations, and mathematics, as well as a catalog of his books, several letters, a diary, a receipt, and two printed books, including Bristed's Anacreontics, published under the pseudonym Carl Benson.

The collection consists of letters, photographs, and other materials relating to Charles A. Lindbergh. These materials are donations and/or acquisitions of discreet items.
