The collection consists of the writings and personal papers of Piet Mondrian, in addition to writings about him and the DeStijl movement. Most of Mondrian's writings were arranged and annotated by Harry Holtzman and Martin S. James for their volume The New Art, the New Life: the Complete Writings of Piet Mondrian (Boston: G. K. Hall, 1986). Some of the writings also were annotated by Mondrian's colleagues Michel Seuphor and Georges Vantongerloo. Personal papers include items such as Mondrian's birth certifications and passports, leases for his studios in Paris and New York, his United States war ration books, his will, and an undated drawing by Mondrian. Also present are a few autograph and typed letters, signed, from friends and colleagues in the arts.

The Poems on Affairs of State Records consist of typescripts of Augustan satirical poems, galley proofs, and a number of card indexes, all related to the Yale edition of Poems on Affairs of State: Augustan Satirical Verse, 1660-1714.

Anonymous MS collection.

The collection primarily consists of correspondence and production files related to publications issued by the Press of the Woolly Whale, including original and carbon typescripts, corrected page proofs and galleys, paper samples, title page and endpaper designs, dummies, notes, and receipts. Some of the production files hold original artwork for illustrations; also present are four photoengravings used to print endpapers for Melbert B. Cary's two-volume work Mademoiselle from Armentieres. In addition, the records contain the press's archival set of Woolly Whale publications including ephemeral items such as prospectuses, invitations, broadsides, holiday cards, mailing labels, and certificates, as well as four chronologically arranged scrapbooks created by Cary to hold samples of ephemera, reviews of the press's work, and other clippings. For his productions Cary employed favorite artists such as Alban B. Butler, Warren Chappell, W. A. Dwiggins, Willi Harweth, Fritz Kredel, and Philip G. Reed, and authors including Richard Le Gallienne; several of the volumes in the press copies set have bespoke bindings by prominent hand binders Katharine Adams, Douglas Cockerell & Son, Peter Franck, Otto Fratzscher, and Gerhard Gerlach. Other correspondents in the collection include Paul and Rudolf Koch, Robert Winslow Gordon, and firms such as Gebrüder Klingspor.

Printed ephemera related to African American political activism and arts primarily in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, circa 1913-1990, with the bulk of the material from 1963 to 1976. Significant organizations documented in the collection include the Philadelphia chapters of the Black Panther Party and Peace and Freedom Party, as well as local and national electoral campaigns of the Communist Party of the United States of America. Many of the items document speakers and events sponsored by political, art, and social pressure groups. Items include handbills, leaflets, direct mail, posters, and other printed ephemera.

Inkjet prints created in 2011 by printmakers of their own black-and-white photographic work, 1995-2011, that they compiled as portfolios and exchanged in conjunction with the meeting of the Society of Photographic Educators in Atlanta, Georgia, March 2011.

Collection of European topical prints and drawings by various artists and printers, some unidentified, created circa 1600 through 1904. The bulk of the collection consists of urban and rural scenes and cityscapes, primarily in Vienna, as well as other Austrian cities and towns and some cities in Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Subjects of prints and drawings include churches, buildings, public works, palaces and castles, public squares, parks and gardens, and train stations in Vienna. Also included are general Vienna city views and depictions of towns, suburbs, and districts in and around Vienna and throughout Austria. The collection also includes printed documents with manuscript signatures, illustrated narrative scenes, a few portraits, and some unidentified images. Identified artists include Rudolf von Alt, W. H. Bartlett, Robert Batty, Tranquillo Mollo, and Jos. Trentsensky. Many prints include hand coloring.

Writings by J. M. Barrie, postcards, scrapbooks, photographs, and a toy theater version of Peter Pan related to the family of Sir Arthur Thomas Quiller-Couch. J. M. Barrie writings consist of a photograph album and manuscript storybook by Barrie, "The Pippa and Porthos," telling the story of Bevil Quiller-Couch and Barrie's dog Porthos on a walk in Fowey, Cornwall. Postcards consist of postcard albums and loose postcards, probably collected by Foy Felicia Quiller-Couch. Postcard correspondents include Bevil and Mabel Quiller-Couch and recipients include Foy Felicia, Bevil, Arthur Thomas, and Lilian Quiller-Couch. Two scrapbooks contain holiday cards, probably collected by Louisa Quiller-Couch, and miscellaneous engravings and clippings, many of which were colored by an unidentified child. Two photographs include a signed portrait of Barrie and an unidentified building. The Peter Pan toy theater includes paper cutouts and boards showing the characters and scenery from Peter Pan.

The Rachel Carson Papers consist of manuscripts, notebooks, letters, newspaper clippings, photos, and printed material relating to the research and publications of Rachel Carson.
