The Connecticut College of Pharmacy was established in 1925 in New Haven, Connecticut. In 1941, the Connecticut General Assembly enacted legislation to incorporate the College as part of the University of Connecticut. The collection contains an extensive collection of clippings (scrapbooks) concerning the program and its faculty, students and graduates in addition to historical papers, documents and reports about pharmacy and the program at the University.
Established in 1946, the School of Social Work is located on the Greater Hartford campus of the University of Connecticut. The University of Connecticut School of Social Work promotes social and economic justice by providing high quality education in social work. The School prepares competent professionals with knowledge, as well as general and specialized method skills for helping people enrich their lives, improve their communities, and contribute to a more just social order.
In the Spring of 1969, the University of Connecticut devoted a whole semester to the study of the 1930s. An all-campus venture, the project drew on all the resources of the University and brought in distinguished visitors, some of whom had been cultural figures of that decade. Called "The Semester of the Thirties," this experiment in higher education probably brought together more aspects of a decade in cultural, political, economic, and social history than any such project undertaken by a university.
The collection contains administrative records associated with opinion surveys of seniors conducted by the University on a range of topics including courses, Greek life, housing, and facilities between 1969 and 1975.
The collection contains a small and random gathering of materials associated with the Social Science Data Center and its publication, The Connecticut Poll.
The collection contains records of the Student Fee Advisory Committe at the University of Connecticut, to include budget proposals, hearings, questions, and an overview of organizations and fees charged.
The collection contains materials associated with the establishment of opportunities that provide opportunities for students to study abroad University students to study abroad while attending the University of Connecticut.
