Founded in 1964 by Robert Hawley and Stevens van Strum, the Oyez Press initially produced a series of poetry broadsides by such notable figures as Robert Duncan, Robert Creeley, William Everson, Gary Snyder, and Charles Olson. Although van Strum left in 1968, Hawley continued on with the press in his spare time, eventually publishing over 80 books in addition to numerous keepsakes and broadsides, featuring authors such as David Meltzer, Josephine Miles, Lew Welch, Philip Lamantia, and many others. Oyez publications were highly regarded for the simplicity and elegance of their design; many were produced in collaboration with printer Graham Mackintosh.

Correspondence, photographs, artwork, sketches and color separations for books by Patricia Coombs including Dorrie and the Witchville Fair (1980), Lisa and the Grompet (1970), and Dorrie and the Screebit Ghost (1979).

Books and poems by author Patricia Hubbell. The collection contains more than a dozen of Hubbell's works, as well as correspondence, notes, manuscrips, and dummies produced during her career.

Paul Capra was born 11 May 1939. He studied at Yale University (1961), Oxford University and Southern Connecticut State College. He received a Master's degree in Education research. Capra ran twice as the Republican candidate for mayor for the city of New Haven (1969, 1971).

The collection contains color separations from a cover or title page for "Puss in Boots".

The collection contains posters assembled between 1986 and 1991 by Paul Zelanski, Professor of Art at the University of Connecticut.

The collection contains correspondence, reports, studies, polls and similar materials related to the personal and professional interests of Paul K. Perry. Perry worked for the Gallup organization for a number of years and helped expand the organization.

The collection contains manuscripts and correspondence associated with two of Mr. Catanese's books, The Brave Apprentice and The Thief and the Beanstalk.
