The collection consists of the financial records of J.P. Harrington and Company, general merchants of Collinsville, Connecticut.

J. Robert Donnelly, Class of 1941, was an avid supporter of UConn athletics throughout his life. His support and interest is reflected in the materials he received and collected associated with UConn sports, particularly football. The University recognized his support by naming the Sports Museum, located in the Alumni Center, after Mr. Donnelly.

The collection contains correspondence, documentation of Marine Research Laboratory (MRL), newspaper clippings documenting Dr. Rankin's work and tenure as Director.

The Judith Liberman papers consist of the correspondence and original manuscript materials of artist and author Judith Liberman. Specifically, the collection focuses on materials that relate to two of her children's books, The Bird's Last Song and Ice Cream Snow.

The J.W. Swanberg Papers consist of chapter and caption drafts, galley proofs, correspondence, and other materials associated with Mr. Swanberg's book New Haven Power and photographs taken by Mr. Swanberg throughout his railroad career.

Collection consists of 956 postcard sized negatives of locomotives from 162 railroads in the United States, taken by Karl E. Schlachter and his son Karl E. Schlachter, Jr.

Jakobsen is one of America's premier folk artists. Her paintings are part of a number of permanent collections, including those of the Museum of American Folk Art and the Smithsonian. She is well known as a book illustrator for such titles as "Johnny Appleseed" (1990) and "This Land is Your Land"(1998) and has authored and illustrated two books, "My New York"(1993) and "Meet me in the Magic Kingdom"(1995). This collection houses: artwork, audio visual materials, books, color slides, correspondence, drawings, illustrations, photographs, posters, publications, sketches, and videocassettes.

Katie Davis is a Connecticut-based children's author and illustrator. This collection contains original works of art, book dummies, correspondence, and manuscripts that relate to eight of her published works. The collection also includes original art and realia pertaining to a copyrighted character that Davis created called Scared Guy.

The collection contains an assortment of newspapers from a variety of locations in New England, spanning the years 1873 to 1921.
