This artificial collection contains small collections from families as well as individuals in Fairfield. They are arranged alphabetically in folders with later accruals in later boxes and not in alphabetical order. Consult the finding aid for the location of a particular family.

This collection consists of 8 boxes. In Boxes I-IV are records drawn by Huntington & Allen; Boexs V-VI contain records and maps processed by Katherine Moody Spaliding; Box VII contains records drawn by Henry L. Mills; Box VIII contains records of the Mill Plain district drawn by unknown researchers.

This collection is composed of 4 boxes of documents and account books and 4 oversize items--an account book and three photographs. The bulk of the collection consists of the papers, both personal and business, of Captain John Gould. The personal papers of the Captain range from numerous bills for tailor-made clothes to poetry on small bits of paper. Equally diverse are his business papers, which include not only bills but also insurance and sales contracts for his schooners and a few letters regarding cargoes of the same.

The collection is housed in one box and made up of three folders and one oversize item. The deeds are arranged by date in Folder A as are the bills and bills receipted in Folder B. Folder C contains Oliver H. Meeker's day book and Emily Meeker's autograph book. The oversize item is the Meeker family Bible which is kept at Ogeden House in season.

The collection is housed in three boxes and has three oversize items. Box I, Folder A-C contain deeds. Financial, contractual and probate papers are in Folder D. Folder E contains correspondence, legal papers and certificates. Of particular note is a negro girl contract from Ebenezer Nichols dated 1804. Folder F contains a recipe book and Folder G holds the diaries of John J. Nichols (1838-1922).

There are 15 boxes and 3 oversize items in this collection. The bulk of the material concerns Finette B. Nichols' legislative papers.
