Joseph R. Snopek Photograph Collection, 1938-1971

Collection was assembled postumously by Robert A. LaMay of locomotives and equipment used in the Danbury, CT area from 1966 to 1971. One photo not from Danbury is of the Boston Maine locomotive #1455 which is now part of the collection of the Danbury Railway Museum. There are 5,000 unsorted slides in small slide boxes on various railroad subjects.

    Victor Westman Collection, 1940-1995

    The Collection includes photographs and slides that Westman took documenting active and abandoned rail lines in Connecticut and the eastern part of New York State. Most of the images are of trains, stations and structures, right of ways and people Westman worked with. There are also images he took of some of his art work and studio. Additionally, the overall collection includes books, maps, publication artwork and railroad ephemera.
