The collection consists of published annual meeting minutes and sunday school convention minutes of the Ashford Baptist Association, Danbury Baptist Association, Fairfield County Baptist Association, Hartford Baptist Association, Litchfield Baptist Association, New Haven Baptist Association, New London Baptist Association, Stonington Baptist Association, Stonington Union Baptist Association, Otsego Baptist Association (New York), Shaftsbury Baptist Association, and unidentified minutes. The published annual meeting minutes generally contain the associations constitution, articles of faith, rules of order, delegates, resolutions, sermon, and correspondence from member churches and other associations. The sunday school convention minutes generally contain convention notes and programs. The circulation of published meeting minutes was common between Baptist associations of Connecticut and out of state Baptist associations such as Otsego and Shaftsbury.

The collection is comprised of correspondence between Jean, his children and family members in France from about 1856 to around 1913; French military and identity records; three memorial books and newspaper obituary clippings for various members of the family; a small prayer book in French; and assorted photographs, along with a photo album documenting family vacations around 1913 which contains some loose items. It also includes correspondence between Jean and his close friend from France, George Marion, who was serving in the Volunteer 1st Connecticut Cavalry, Company A, during May 1862 from the Virginia battle front. The collection contains a compact disc with digital copies of many of the papers found in the collection, as well as some extra material about the family's genealogy written by the donor, Suzanne Barbier Scheele.

Case files contain warden's case reports and complaint forms, as well as notification to towns regarding prohibitions on licenses, correspondence, and prohibition appeals. Correspondence includes press releases, public relations schedules, memos, statistical information and reports on various subject. Warden's files contain personnel files for for Ray M. Brittingham, Walter S. Watson, Charles R. Disbrow, and Edith A. Stoehr, the first female game warden in the United States. These records are restricted. Minutes contain files only from 1956. Photographs are primarily black and white and include warden activities such as predator control, game breeding, conservation activities, warden training and state lands. Many are mounted on acidic cardboard. A small number of photographs were added from the Law Enforcement Unit of the Dept. of Environmental Protection which assumed many of the Board's responsibilities in 1971.

This collection of 217 black and white photographs is a representative survey of the aspects of military life and training on the base from 1942 to 1945. All the photos are numbered, identified, and stamped "Official U.S. Army Air Corps photo" on back. Activities represented include, among others, the Sixth War Loan drive, an open house for the public, redeployment, multiple training exercises, the training of Chinese fighter pilots, day-to-day life, and medal presentations to servicemen or the families of those missing in action.
